6th day of 6th month of 6th year stirs fear

Today's a devil of a day.

Some people abandon all hope for the once-a-century date bearing the mark of the devil: 666.

Others don't mind the sixth day of the sixth month of the century's sixth year, or 06/06/06. advertisement

Kate Rosenbaum turns 6 years old today.

The Scottsdale first-grader is celebrating with a Jeep tour in Sedona.

Expectant Gina Uriarte of Phoenix is dilating and trying to hold onto her baby until at least Wednesday.

The 666 reference comes from Revelation 13:18: "This calls for wisdom: let him who has understanding reckon the number of the beast, for it is a human number, its number is six hundred and sixty-six."

The beast for some is the Antichrist.

The Rev. Felix Just, a professor of theology at the University of San Francisco, says many people avoid 666.

"They're afraid of it almost, and there's absolutely no reason to be afraid of it," Just said.

Roseanne - Halloween DVD

Roseanne - Special Roseanne Halloween DVD: Episode List, Extras & Cost!

6/01/2006

It's been a whopping 10 months since we first broke the news that Fall 2006 would see the release of a Roseanne DVD that had the best of the show's Halloween episodes. Now Anchor Bay has exclusively provided TVShowsOnDVD.com with the first information about this package!

Roseanne - Halloween Edition includes all 7 of the Highest Rated Fan
Favorite Halloween Episodes as voted on TV.com. Most TV shows celebrated the holiday season with warm & fuzzy Christmas specials. But for the cast, crew and creators of Roseanne, the year’s best celebrations always belonged to Halloween. In these seven classic episodes, the Conners unleash tricks and treats on one of the greatest sitcoms in television history:

    1. "BOO!" - In this Emmy-nominated fan favorite, the Conners kick off a family tradition with a night of increasingly outrageous pranks.
    2. "TRICK OR TREAT" - When Roseanne wears a lumberjack costume, she learns a few hilarious lessons about 'real' men.
    3. "TRICK ME UP, TRICK ME DOWN" - Jackie flirts with a moose, Roseanne
pranks the new neighbors and George Clooney (ER) guest stars.
    4. "HALLOWEEN IV" - Having lost her holiday spirit, Roseanne is visited by the ghosts of Halloween past, present and future.
    5. "HALLOWEEN V" - It’s Halloween night at the diner, but the real shocks are
about to come from some very unexpected places.
    6. "SKELETON IN THE CLOSET" - A Halloween party at The Lunch Box brings out Leon’s gay friends as well as Bev’s hair-raising secret.
    7. "HALLOWEEN: THE FINAL CHAPTER" - Ed McMahon (The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson) and Sarah Chalke (Scrubs) guest star when Roseanne’s ouija board delivers the most unexpected news of all.

Roseanne herself will supply some audio commentary tracks for this release, which will run you $14.98 SRP (pre-order this at Amazon for just $11.19). These episodes are said by Anchor Bay to be uncut, and the release date is August 29th. Stay tuned for cover art, which isn't finalized yet (but we've seen the early art, which unfortunately we were asked not to share publicly just yet, but I LOVE the direction they were going with it!).

Finally, according to reader Ed Slonina (thanks, Ed!), Anchor Bay is saying that we can tentatively expect the 5th Season set to arrive on or about Sept. 12th. Stay tuned and we'll try to get more for you about that, too!

Halloween9?

Fango!
June 1: Rob Zombie to tackle HALLOWEEN?

Around Hollywood, one dark topic has been spoken about in whispers: Who’s directing HALLOWEEN 9? It’s a mystery that’s confounding message board users and Michael Myers fans across the web—not to mention a secret that the execs at Dimension Films have been protecting as if their lives depended on it. This writer is amazed that the following hasn’t been leaked already…

Remember a few months back—around the time THE DEVIL’S REJECTS made its DVD debut—when writer/director Rob Zombie (pictured on the REJECTS set) teased us with how his next project was going to be “big”? One could presume he was speaking of a silver-screen adaptation of the IDW comic book BIGFOOT he created with Steve Niles, a project currently set up at Rogue Pictures. But Fango has learned from many sources around town that Zombie has, in fact, been in talks with Dimension about helming HALLOWEEN 9! We’ve attempted to confirm this, but no one is talking. Furthermore, it’s uncertain as to whether he’s aiming to do the oft-rumored “lost years” prequel or an original chapter of his own. We can assure you, however, that the buzz concerning Zombie’s flirtation with the white-masked one has grown progressively louder.

If this is indeed confirmed, remember where you heard it first. If it’s a whole lotta bunk, chalk it up as one more HALLOWEEN sequel rumor to throw on the ever-growing pile! —Ryan Rotten

Transformers Set Pictures

Various TRANSFORMERS set pictures have popped up. Two sites are listed below, both containing unique pictures.

The car in some of the pictures (not the one above) likely gets sold to Spike as the heavily beat up Classic Camaro and gets fixed up to the 2008 model.

You can find the pictures:
